You need to talk to Mage Karan during the Cancelling Petrification Spell 5 quest of Inotia 3.
Cancelling Petrification Spell 5
You have arrived at Karan’s Shelter. But you need to pass through the secret passage to the basement. Let’s use the Golem to find the secret passage and meet Mage Karan.
This guide will help you get past the golems guarding Mage Karan’s house and get the items Hermit Wand, Frozen Gem, Mana Robe, and Thunder Circlet.
Talk to the gray Golem. We should get the Hermit Wand first, so choose the second option “What could I do to show support to my master?”
Then choices of codes will be shown. Choose the second option, B9C0B5B4A4, and the Hermit Wand will appear on your right.
Talk to the gray Golem again, and this time choosing the first option, and then press the gray button. The passage will then be accessible.
Upon entering, you will arrive at the Secret Passage in Karan’s Shelter. We have here 3 golems – Lightning Golem B2 at North, Ice Golem A9 at East, and Fire Golem A6 at West. Each of these golems can do two things: give you a hidden item and move to the middle of the map to let you finally find Mage Karan.
Approach any of the 3 Golems and take note of the letter-number combination at the end of its name because that’s the hint for the authorization code of the hidden item.
So, talk to Fire Golem A6, choose the second option “What could I do to show support to my master?” And choose the authorization code A6A9B8A5. Get the treasure that appears. Talk to the Golem again, choose the first option “Umm, please show me the way home”. Then press the red button. The color of the button you will press should match the color of the Golem.
Do the same with Ice Golem A9, get the Frozen Gem item using the authorization code A9A3A5, and then press the blue button, since this Golem is blue.
And then for the last Golem, Lightning Golem B2… get the Thunder Circlet using authorization code B2A9A7A8C0, and then press the yellow button so this yellow Golem will move to the center of the room, finally showing you a portal to enter Mage Karan’s House.
