BDO: What to do if you forgot ATM Debit Card pin code

Last time I asked Banco de Oro (BDO) regarding forgotten ATM Debit Card pin code, I was told that the only solution is to “purchase” a new BDO ATM Debit Card from the branch of your BDO account for 120 pesos.

Here’s BDO’s email response to my inquiry about forgotten ATM Debit Card pin number:

We regret to inform you that we have no facility to reset ATM PIN.

In case of forgotten ATM PIN, card replacement is necessary since no one in
the bank, not even the ATM network system, has knowledge of your nominated
6-digit PIN.
ATM card replacement can only be requested and claimed from your Branch of
Account (BOA). Please be informed as well that your BOA will collect a
Card Replacement Fee of Php 120.00 upon requesting for a replacement.

You may claim your personalized/named ATM card from your BOA after 3-5
banking days or if you opted to get a generic (no name) ATM card, you may
get it right away provided that your BOA has a generic card on hand.
In relation to this, you are given three (3) invalid PIN attempts daily.
Once you have entered an invalid ATM PIN thrice, your ATM access will be
suspended for the day and you may try again the next day.

  1. Is that really is the solution for forgotten ATM debit card password??? pls help
    They advised me to call their toll free number but I can’t contact them.. :((
    Don’t know what to do. . .

    1. I emailed their support center and I was told that there’s no password recovery system for forgotten ATM pins. 🙁 They told me I need to request a new one and pay for it. To make sure, I visited my BDO branch of account, and they told me the same thing – that I need to purchase a new card.

      1. Good for u, u were advised to get a new card unlike in my case that as if they don’t have time to answer my questions..is that what they call — “we find ways”??? ..plus discourteous tellers! ????

        But anyways thank u so much for the info..I hope everything will be solved soon.

  2. Sadly for me, I forgot my pin. How many attempts can I do before they suspend my account? The number pin is jumbled up in my head and I’m so confused since it has been a long time I withdrew money. Just in case they tell me to have a new card will the savings from my previous card be transferred or forfeited?

  3. hello po yung pincode ng ATM sa BDO ilang digits ba yun? apat or anim? kasi try ko ang atm ko dito sa US di ina accept kc 4 lng dw ang digit kailangan nila.

  4. i think it’s fine that there’s really no way to retrieve pin via their system..it just simply means that it’s only us knows our pin & inaccessible to anyone. it’s our responsibility to remember it.

  5. i have the same problem.
    the most disappointing thing is… you need to go to the BDO branch were opened the account. what if you transfered to another place which is far? ang hassle lang… and i think it’s fine na they can reset ung password.. they should just ask for necessary documents. and in my opinion, indi n dapat nila pabayaran pa uli un….

    ask ko lang qng pwede pa ma retrieve ung pin code sa atm ko kc inutos ko sa kapatid ko na mag withdraw gamit ung atm ko kea lang mali ung digit na pinindot nya tapus 3 times pa inulit… kea na blocked..anu ba dapat ko gawin since memorise ko nmn ung pin code ko ?

  8. Same thing happened to me yesterday, i cant recalled in my mind the pin .i called the help center and told me 24hrs to refresh and can use it again.

  9. nag change pin ako pero isinulat ko sa papel yung pin
    after 24hjrs nag inquire ako pero ang lumabas maximun pin sabi nila palipasin ko daw ang 24hrs ulit kaso 3days kona ginagawa yun hindi kaya yung card ang may deperensya…imposible namang mali eh isinulat ko nanga yung pin…

  10. Hello po yung ng balance injuiry po ako gumagana pa yung pin ko,pgktpos po yung next day try q ulit mg balance inquiry nd na gumagana yung pin.ano ang gagawin KO.plz help me.
